What interests me most are stories that are relevant. Stories that scream for change. Sometimes I just love to work on rhythm and visuals, celebrating the magic of the moving image. My home base is in Bolzano (Bozen), a bilingual city in the far north of Italy. I studied, lived, and worked for many years in Bologna and Berlin. Almost all of my films and projects are European co-productions. I therefore collaborate regularly with a trusted network of colleagues and partners across the continent — including Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Austria and beyond. I write most of the films I direct. Most have been screened at major film festivals, several have received awards, and all have been broadcast on television and plattforms across Europe and internationally.
